1st Cut vs 2nd Cut - Why Do I Choose?
It's important to get the hay that's right for your pet. While our 1st & 2nd Cut Hays are both packed with nutrients and goodness, one type may be better suited to your furry friend.
1st Cut
Contains lots of stems and seed heads which is ideal for most rabbits but can be a bit coarse for guinea pigs, hamsters and other small animals.
2nd Cut
Much softer than first cut and a darker-green colour. It's a mix of stems and leaf with fewer seed heads, ideal for smaller animal and a great option for older animals or fussy eaters.
