Chinchilla Hay

Hay is the most important part of your chinchillas’ diet. Our ultra premium, long stem and dust free hay is sourced from the lush fields of Canada and is the perfect addition to your chinchillas’ diet.

It provides essential fibre, which aids in digestion as well as helping maintain dental health by providing natural chewing behaviour. Forget feeding processed pellets that don’t provide your chinchillas what they need to stay healthy. Don’t feed them cheap hay filled with nasty dust that can damage their airways and affect their breathing.

Instead feed Nibble&Gnaw to make sure your chinchilla lives their happiest and healthiest life!

What is timothy hay

Timothy hay is the most popular choice of hay for chinchilla owners across the UK. We believe in it so much that it’s the only hay we offer!

Our ultra premium dust free hay has some amazing benefits for your chinchillas’ health! It has the perfect balance of fibre and other essential nutrients which helps their digestive health, as well as promoting proper dental health for your chinchilla. There is a reason why it is recommended by veterinarians and small pet experts all across the world!

Can Chinchillaseat hay

Absolutely, yes! Hay should make up about 80% of a chinchillas’ diet! We recommend that you feed your chinchilla Timothy hay, due to the benefits it has over other types of hay. For example, Alfalfa hay, while it may be high in protein and calcium, it is lower in fibre, which doesn’t help with digestive health as effectively timothy hay.
